Sea otters, which reside in northern coastal regions of this Pacific Ocean, are mythical creatures, their allure makes them excellent mascots for environmental protection efforts, and their importance for their local ecosystems can’t be understated.
Sadly, sea otters are threatened by pollution, poaching, and industrial fishing, which occasionally leads to infant otters washing around beach unattended. But thanks to the efforts of aquariums where individuals have the ability to look after them round the clock and also teach them life skills, even otter orphans have a chance of making it into adulthood.
