Help Installing the Guestbook

if someone can help me in what todo in this instruction, i dont get it

it your browser to install.php
- follow the instructions
- delete install.php
i did the other steps but i having a hard time with this one..... and also with these next step

- open LoadingXML.as and change the URL to xml file at line 26
- open SendTheMessage.as and change the URL to add_guest.php at line 25
pls help I will apreciate that....

Hi and welcome

Once you have uploaded the files, hit your browser to install.php means write the web address to the install.php ( ie: http://www.....com/install.php ).

Do the same with LoadingXML.as file and SendTheMessage.as... write the web address of your xml file and add_guest.php.
Re- publish the SWF and upload the SWF

I already did that but nothing happen when type the www.mydomain.com/install.php....

Strange.. it should give u a confirmation message or an error message (mySql error)

hey guys thank you for the help, Now is working perfec but the thins is that i cannot add any comment to it, and I don;t know Why, maybe an error in the add_guest.PHP?

Are permissions of add_guest.php to 777 ?

yes, do i have to upload all the .class files?

Hi!
no, you don't have to upload class files (.as) just the .php & .swf

You should change permissions to the xml folder and the content of the folder..
So that add_guest.php can work properly and overwrite the existing folder's file.

ok, I got that part.... but for some reason I Change those permission and everything works cool but when I try to change the permissions again, they appear the same way that it was before I change them, i don;t if u understand what im sayin///

yes 'understand..
if your under windows go in the folder /public of your server , create there a new /xml folder: /public/xml ok.. so now move the new /xml folder in the /guestbook directory..
it should be done.. (note: windows server sometimes refresh permissions on the server.. so your folder can suddenly turn back to unwritable!)
