flashcs3 Images Scroller version 4

FlepStudio has created a new free utility for Flash and Actionscript 3.0.

This is the fourth version of the scroller of images that you already know.

It loads external images and displays them using a transition effect.

To browse the images there are two buttons.

The description of the images support HTML.

You can change the MovieClip in the library of the FLA to customize this script.

Requirements

Flash CS3 o superiore per MAC o Windows

Flash Player 9.

Included files

• main.fla


• package com/flepstudio


• package caurina


• images folder


• fonts folder


• XML/setup.xml

Actionscript Variables

• Main.as: XML_URL ( if needed change the value with the absolute url or path that points your setup.xml file )


• Main.as: SPEED ( speed of scrollbar buttons )

XML Variables

• If needed insert the absolute url or path of the icons folder here ( line 2 ):
  
  <items imagesFolder="images">

Installation

1. 
   

   Open main.fla and com/flepstudio/Main.as and if needed change the XML_URL variable with abosulte url or path that points at set_up.xml

   
   


2. 
   

   Open XML/setup.xml file and be sure the attribute "imagesFolder" has the right path or change it:
   
   <items imagesFolder="images">

   
   


3. 
   

   Re-create main.swf from main.fla

   
   


4. 
   

   Upload main.swf, xml/setup.xml and images folder.

   
   

Other customizations

• You can manage all the rest by working on the MovieClips in main.fla library.

Pretty slick!
I like this a lot. I guess it would've been nice to add a transition variable in the flash and have that so you can change it in the xml by using something like transition=1 or 2 and so on..

Hi,
This is a nice effect, but I've got some problem to integrate Image Scroller in my website.
There is a error (in french)
Error #2044: IOErrorEvent non pris en charge : text=Error #2035: L'URL est introuvable.
Problem seems to come of the Loader.
