flashcs3 images gallery unlimited categories

FlepStudio has created a new free utility for Flash CS3/CS4 and Actionscript 3.0.

This is an image gallery with unlimited categories.

It loads data from an external XML file and descriptions of the images support hyperlinks in the text.

Fullscreen option available.

It is also possible to associate a date and a title to each image.

Also from the XML file, you can set the folder paths high-resolution images and low resolution, whether to display the descriptions or disable the link to click on the images, the target of links.

Actionscript Variables

• Main.as: CONFIG_XML ( If needed change the absolute value of the URL or path that points to the config.xml )


• Main.as: FPS ( framerate speed )

Installation

1. Open and main.fla abd com / FlepStudio / Main.as and if necessary change the variable CONFIG_XML with an absolute URL or path that points to the config.xml file.


2. Open the file xml / config.xml and make sure that the attributes imagesNormalFolderLocation and imagesHighFolderLocation have the right path or absolute URL pointing to the folders of images


3. Ricreare main.swf from main.fla


4. Upload main.swf, xml/config.xml and images folder.

Other customizations

You can customize everything else working in the library of main.fla .

Hi,

This looks amazing, but I can't get it to open up in full screen - comes up with the following error:

SecurityError: Error #2152: Full screen mode is not allowed.
at flash.display::Stage/set_displayState()
at flash.display::Stage/set displayState()
at com.flepstudio::Main/onFullscreenDown()

First, thanks a lot for this nice picture gallery.

But I couldn't get it work on my machine. I created new folders (FlashGallery\images\normal & FlashGallery\images\high) to hold images. Is this wrong? Did I misunderstand the instructions? Should I do another thing?

Hi, I just downloaded this nice gallery, because I would love to edit and use in my portfolio. Unfortunately, I stucked on this problem, that is to say, I can not upload pictures. I made folder called "images" and used in xml function for to be able to reading them to swf movie. All files are in the same folder. Please, can you let me know what I am doing bad and what should I change ...?
