[Flep]

FlepStudio has created a new free utility for Flash CS3 / CS4.

Developed with Actionscript 3.0.

It's an image gallery with inertia effects.

Managed by an external XML file, it also has a section "about me".

Automatically creates thumbnails of images and displays them with a simple but effective slider.

Descriptions of images supports hyperlinks and graphics are easily customizable.

Included files

• main.fla

Actionscript variables

• Main.as: XML_URL ( if needed change the value with the absolute url or path that points your xml/settings.xml file )

XML Variables

• If needed insert the absolute url or path of the images folder here ( line 2 ):

  You can change border color too.
  
  IMPORTANT:
  
  for example, if you don't want description do not cancel the node description.
  
  Just insert in it: "--" or what you prefer.

Adding images

• Just add a node like following:

Background

• If you want change background just change the PNG into bg_mc MovieClip on the stage.

Installation

1. Open main.fla and org/FlepStudio/Main.as and if needed change the XML_URL variable with
   
   abosulte url or path that points at xml/settings.xml file at line 21.


2. Open xml/settings.xml file and be sure the attribute "imagesFolder" of gallery node has the right path or change it:
   
   <gallery imagesFolder="images">
   
   Changing border color option available too.


3. Re-create main.swf from main.fla


4. Upload main.swf, xml/settings.xml and images folder.

Other customizations

You can manage all the rest by working on the MovieClips in main.fla library.

When I log in, I am welcomed....my username and password are correct. But then I am referred back to the log in screen. I can't download this utility. Why is that? I would like to be able to...please.

Did you activated your account by clicking the link that has been sent to your email address ?

Umm... I clicked the link - but it didn't acknowledge me as signed in, so I signed in separately.

No. It just keeps asking me to log in when I click the download... Even though it says that I already am. Not sure what's going on.

Did you try to logout ?
Also, check your browser.

It works using Firefox... I was using Safari before - and when I logged in, it welcomed me, said 'redirecting' and then returned to the login screen...
Now successfully downloaded , thanks!
