Flep, Thank you SO much for SO many quality things and terrific information. I've searched many a site for Flash CS3 info, tutorials and utilities and you rank #1 for me.

FlepStudio has created a new free Flash CS3 utility.
It's a simple " Tell A Friend " that allows you to recommend a url to friends of your users.
The utility sends an e-mail with the name of user to his friend and will contain the url of the page where SWF is located and then warn the recipient of the mail going to that url as recommended.
For example, if you have a blog , just embed this SWF to any article.
Try it
FILES
- main.fla
- Main.as
- CheckEmail.as
- sendMail.php
INSTALLATION
Open Main.as and at line 20 insert the absolute url that points to your sendMail.php
If you want use this utility on your blog/website you should keep this SWF in server's root and embed it in any artcile you want by using the SWF's absolute url.

Flep You're The Best thanks for the great work
It's cool, thanks
Hi Flep,
First off, fantastic work! My only issue is that I'm relatively new to Flash so I'm trying to figure out how to install some things. For this tell a friend for example, I changed the URL in the Main.as and embedded the swf into my html page. The Tell A Friend form appears fine and I can input data, but when I click on send, the data still stays and I don't get the Message Sent comment showing nor do I actually receive the mail.
Is this because I'm using localhost (XAMPP) and the mercury mail may not be set up?
If I install as normal on my actual webserver (bluehost.com) will it work or are there other settings that I need to mess around with?
Thanks again for all and any assistance!
Rob
Thanks for the reply Flep...
I think I just actually got it to work, though I do have some questions if you don't mind.
1) From what I understand, after publishing the .fla, so long as the Main.as has the absolute path to the main.swf, I can put the object tags on any page and it should work fine, correct?
2) In the TellAFriend folder on my server, I should have the following files: main.swf, main.as, main.fla, sendMail.php, CheckEmail.as and AC_RunActiveContent.js correct?
3) For all the other utilities such as Email form with pictures, Newsletter signup, or anything with a submission via email, the structure of the sendMail.php file would be the same? Meaning, all I need is the object tags to be placed within my existing html/php page and as long as the .swf file has an absolute path, all should be well?
Thanks again Flep, for the assistance and amazing work!
Rob
Sorry, just to add one more to the above questions/clarifications...
4) If I want to use another email address to send the message from, how could/would I go about doing it? For example, instead of having the Tell A Friend message sent from the server mail, how could I use a hotmail account instead?
Thanks again!
