for simple "stick figure" animation, is Flash CS3 the right tool, or not?

I'm trying to help someone do some very simple "stick figure", black on white, sports coaching animations. Someone told him to use Flash. Is it the right tool, or is one of the other CS3 suite programs a better choice?

And if it is the right tool, is the following book a good starting point? Bear in mind,I'm just trying to do this one task only.

Amazon book link:
Amazon.com: How to Cheat in Flash CS3: The art of design and animation in Adobe Flash CS3: Chris Georgenes: Books

Thanks.

Hi,

I would say that Flash is perfect to create stick figure animation and some of the best, like Xiao Xiao, are done in flash.
There are other softwares more specialized like EasyToons (creations of black and white cartoons in generale) or Pivot (a freeware for the creation of only stick figure).

About the book, I have no idea (I do not know it). You could check the Tutorial section on this site, maybe it could be enough.
