After seeing the component TXeff and since FlepStudio is one of the few to have access to beta of a new component,
I present you one of the most comprehensive that we have ever seen in Adobe Flash.
The creators are always mythical guys of JumpEyeComponents and I thank them for giving this opportunity.
This new component called FlashEff and in a few words, unlike the acting TXeff only on text fields, you can animate any object in Flash.
Great!
Do you have idea of how long I’m saving time in creating banners, with headers indeed, apply effects to images, etc etc … ?
I tell myself, a lot! And often not even have to be a squeeze for the brain new idea as this component has a very wide range of effects.
To which target level / users are directed?
Certainly for beginners who want to achieve amazing effects and outside the municipality without using Actionscript or interpolations on the timeline.
But not only are good even for advanced users but need a quick tool in order to save valuable time in creating effects and beyond.
Right now JumpEyeComponents has an ongoing contest for FlashEff.
This is a contest to create patterns for FlashEff.
Just crete your own pattern
and send it to JumpEye to win one of the prizes( first prize 2500 $ ).
info about contest: FlashEff contest.
I go ahead with my review…
Installation
Make sure you have installed on your machine ’s latest version of Adobe Extension Manager, downloadable from here.
Double-click the file and opens FlashEff.mxp Adobe Extension Manager.
Accept the conditions and install the component.
Restart Flash!
You’ll find the component panel components into a new folder named FlashEff.

Inside of the folder you will find a list of effects ( about 100 ) and at the end of the list you will find the component.

Creating a simple effect
Of course, drag the component FlashEff on stage.
We import an image library and drag it on stage.
Transform image in MovieClip and assign test_mc instance name.

Now, all you have to do is to drag and drop the FlashEff component over it and it will automatically snap over the movieclip and will give an instance name automatically.
If you already have an instance name for that movieclip FlashEff will read that instance name and will autofill that "target" filed for you so you don’t have to worry about completing it.
You will have to choose the transition type and tweak the effect.
This component has not the component inspector panel.
It’s control panel location is: window> other panels> FlashEff panel.
IMPORTANT:
If you place the FlashEff component on the first frame, the entire animation will have a flick before the effect is added. Please read this post to understand more.
It’s really important to move the movieclip and the FlashEff component on frame number2 and have a stop() on the second frame.
http://www.flasheff.com/forum/read.php?23,453 (Target object (text or graphic) flashes once, just before the animation starts)

At this point you open a panel that connects to the site of FlashEff and asks you to log in using the account that you created when purchase of the component.
Are logged, you will get this screen:

It asks you to pick a transition, click Show.

We choose a pattern, in this case we use FESClouds and behold that the panel will change again.
There are two kinds of patterns, EDF and FET.
EDF is used to MovieClip, Sprite and dynamic text fields.
FET only for text fields dynamic.
A complete list of all the effects (such precisely Patterns) can be found on the site of the component.

In section Tween panel, we can set the kind of transition we want, in this case we use Regular.
Also in this section can choose what kind of ease (ie if the transition inbound or outbound), in which case we easeIn.
Maturity (tweenDuration) put 2.
Of course this is just a small example, then you will be doing tests to obtain ‘best desired effect by changing the parameters.
Play section.:
Here we can specify if the effect occurs automatically (so let autoPlay selected) or if we operate effect ourselves (in this case we use Actionscript but we shall see later).
We can indicate a delay (delay) that is applied to transition.
So if for example, put 1, the transition will take place after 1 second when we run ’s SWF.
We, however, in this example leave at 0.
Miscellaneus section:
In this section can indicate whether the object that we want to apply the effect is already visible (in our case yes).
Is essential to name the resort in the subject field _targetistancename otherwise the component would not know to whom to apply precisely’ s effect.
Then insert test_mc in _targetistancename.
The other two parameters (xmlPath and XML), serve only to set the component from an external XML file.
Then just start the SWF and enjoy the show:
You can create hundreds of cool effects !
FlepStudio recommends it.
